Hi2link doesn’t use a personal account: you only have an anonymous ID. We can’t process an ID deletion request by e-mail, because we cannot verify that the requester is the actual owner of that ID.
Already in place (security): each ID is associated with a security token stored on the phone and in the database. The server checks this token for any operation on the ID (e.g., updating/deleting the associated photo), preventing anyone from changing another user’s photo.
What you can do today: precise data (history, etc.) is stored on your device. You can delete it within the app (where available) or by uninstalling the application.
Planned improvement: we’ll add an in-app “Delete my ID” action; the security token will prove that the request comes from the ID’s owner.
Hi2link uses two levels: Criteria (context like “share a meal”) and Conditions (31 profile categories, e.g., “Languages spoken”).
A match requires that each person satisfies the other’s conditions. In your example, make sure you completed your own profile under “Languages spoken”.
If the other person required “French” and your profile doesn’t list French, there will be no match even if you share the same criterion “share a meal”.
Criteria define the “what” (e.g., share a taxi, friendly meetup).
Conditions refine via 31 profile categories (languages, interests, etc.).
A match occurs only if both profiles reciprocally satisfy each other’s conditions.
No. Matching is done via Bluetooth, device-to-device. No detection data is sent to our servers.
If a match occurs, photos with captions are exchanged over the network.
For the encounters history: precise location is kept on your device only (never transmitted).
An approximate location may be sent for aggregated statistics (not linked to any user).
Bluetooth (Nearby devices) for local matching, Notifications for match alerts, Location for history, and Camera for QR cards and community features.
Ensure Bluetooth is on, grant notifications to Hi2link, and confirm that battery optimizations aren’t restricting the app. Restarting the app (or the phone) may help.
Hi2link is meant for real-life conversation: look around and find the person that matches the profile photo.
You can also exchange your contact details ( private or business card ) using the app’s built-in business cards (QR). One shows a card, the other scans it — or vice versa.
Go to Menu → Profile → Personal info. Use the buttons at the bottom of the screen or swipe horizontally to switch between sections (there are 8 screens). On some screens, scroll vertically to see all the criteria in that section.
The full set of profile criteria will be reviewed after the closed test based on tester feedback. Feel free to report missing or unclear labels to support@hi2link.com.

Notifications
You’ll receive a notification if you set a todo for that person in History.
About one-way matches
The app should not create one-way matches. If you notice this, please report it to support@hi2link.com (approximate time and device models).
Current behaviour: History groups events by contact and shows the latest search (most recent match). Earlier matches with the same person are not listed separately to avoid duplicates.
Tip: after a match, add a note (todo) with the search/context (“meal”, “taxi”, etc.) and/or attach your private/pro card. These items remain attached to the contact.
Planned improvement: we’re considering a per-contact timeline (dated entries with the search name) to keep every match.
We get the request. Keeping the photo up longer is tricky when there are multiple matches at the same time (it can block the queue of new matches).

Planned improvements (under consideration)
